Rams post key N-O win over Raiders
Roy-Hart scored a key 13-2 victory over visiting Barker this afternoon to gain a share of the Niagara-Orleans league baseball lead.
Roy-Hart pulls even with Albion at 5-1 while Barker slips a half game off the pace at 5-2.
Justin Heschke spearheaded the Roy-Hart attack by hitting for the cycle and driving in a total of 6 runs.
Andy Xapsos and Al Xapsos each added a pair of hits for the Rams.
Charlie Bruning went the distance on the mound for Roy-Hart allowing only 4 hits and striking out 5.
Breaking away from an early 1-1 tie, Roy-Hart took the lead for good by scoring 4 times in the second inning highlighted by a two-run triple by Hescke.
The Rams quickly tacked on four more runs in the third inning as Heschke had a two-run double.
Heschke also banged out a two-run homer in the fifth frame.
The teams will meet again on Wednesday at Barker.
Wilson 9, Medina 2
Seven errors proved costly as Medina dropped a 9-2 decision at Wilson to slip to 2-5.
Trailing 1-0, Wilson took there lead for good by scoring six times in the third inning aided by errors as the Lakemen improve to 3-2.
Jonah Miller banged out 4 hits for Wilson as Holden Howland, Jake Mitchell, Jack Retolla and Nate Fox each added 2.
Brian Fry had 3 hits and Brett Riemer 2 for Medina which next visits Newfane on Wednesday.
In a Genesee Region League contest, Alexander downed Holley/Kendall 12-1.
