Ram matmen best Tigers to even N-O record

Roy-Hart/Barker evened its Niagara-Orleans League wrestling record at 2-2 with a 48-36 victory over Akron (2-2) this evening.

Zach Hill, Brett Ricker and Aiden Pearson all registered pins to highlight the victory for the Rams.

In the other N-O matches, defending champion Newfane (4-0) downed visiting Albion (3-1) 69-12 in a clash of unbeatens and Wilson (1-3) bested visiting Medina (0-4) 48-30.

Bryce Kelly and Amilcar Morales both registered pins for Albion.

In the 285 bout Newfane’s Jaden Heers edged Albion’s Cody Wilson 4-3 to avenge an earlier tournament loss.

Miles Hartway, Rashawn Bloom, Brandon Boyce and Ethan Page all notched pins for Medina.

In a Genesee Region League match, host Alexander downed Lyndonville 50-30.

Payton Grabowski had a pin for Lyndonville which also got decision wins from Connor Bell and Sam Doolan. The Tigers other 18 points came on three forfeit wins.
