Rams bow in tourney final

In a clash of Niagara-Orleans League rivals, Newfane nipped Roy-Hart 1-0 in double overtime this evening in the championship game of the Holley boys soccer tournament.

Chad Gilson scored the game winner for Newfane two minutes into the first overtime off an assist from Patrick Eadie.

Holley and Batavia battled to a 0-0 tie in double overtime in the consolation contest.

In one N-O game today, Akron defeated CSAT 6-2 as Chris Mayrose scored four goals and Randy Meyer had a goal and three assists.

Girls Soccer

Lyndonville 4, Elba 0
ELBA – Alyssa Mahnke scored a pair of first half goals, off assists from Gabby Dusett and Maddy Boyle, to spark Lyndonville to a 4-0 Genesee Region League victory over Elba this morning.

Dusett also scored from Autumn Nesbitt in the second half as Madison Gardepe rounded out the Lady Tigers scoring with a late penalty kick tally.

Jenna Castricone earned the shutout in goal for Lyndonville.

Holley 0, Attica 0
BATAVIA – Holley and Attica battled to a 0-0 tie in double overtime in a G-R contest this evening as GCC.

Nicole Blackburn earned the shutout in goal for Holley.
