A 4-1 advantage in forfeit wins proved to be the difference as Roy-Hart/Barker trimmed visiting Medina 40-36 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League wrestling match.

Medina won five of the eight matches decided on the mat but Roy-Hart/Barker’s three match edge in forfeit wins was the difference.

There were also two double forfeits.

Roy-Hart got pins by Aiden Pierson (145) and Gavin Ciarfella (99) and a major decision win by Colby Hancock (152).

Five Medina grapplers notched pins including Jacob Rissew (138), Miles Hartway (160), Noah Skinner (170), Riley Black (220) and Rashawn Bloom (106) whose fall in 48 seconds was the fastest of the match.

Ellwood Hafner and Cam Bell both registered pins for Albion and Amilcar Morales had a decision win.

Albion is now 2-0 and Akron 1-1.
