Ram booters rally to edge Mustangs; Purple Eagles post shutout to avenge loss to Panthers

Roy-Hart rallied for a pair of unanswered second half goals to edge past Medina/Lyndonville 3-2 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game this evening at Vets Park.

Trailing 2-1, Roy-Hart pulled pulled even just seven minutes into the second half as Noah Hardy scored off an assist from Ethan Lindke.

The Rams then got the game winner when Aidan Bligh broke in clean to score with just 12:32 remaining.

Roy-Hart also grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half as Jacob Fritton scored off an assist from Jose Campos.

Medina/Lydonville though answered with a pair of goals by Nate Dillenbeck, off assists from Evan Horn and Casey Winiecki, to take a 2-1 lead at the half.

The Rams are now 4-4 in N-O action while the Mustangs slip to 1-6-1.

Albion 2, Newfane 0
Avenging an 8-3 home field loss last week, Albion posted a 2-0 victory at Newfane this afternoon on first half goals by Sam Sanchez, from Nate Scanlan, and by Kendyll Hadick off an assist from Angel Rosario.

Angel Colon and Omar Peterson shared in earning the shutout in goal for the Purple Eagles.

With the win Albion improves to 5-2-1 in the league and takes over sole possession of second place as Newfane slips to 4-3-1.

Wilson 6, Akron 1
Front-running Wilson improved it’s N-O record to 6-1-1 with a 6-1 victory over Akron (1-5-2) as Taylor Carmer led the way with 3 goals.
