Ram booters blank Lakemen in N-O opener

Roy-Hart opened its Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer schedule on a high note today by shutting out host defending champion Wilson.

Trent Choate scored all three goals for Roy-Hart and Brendan Saia earned the assist on each of those tallies.

Colby Hancock registered the shutout in goal for the Rams.

Now at 2-0 overall, Roy-Hart next visits Medina/Lyndonville at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Byron-Bergen Tournament

In a marathon contest, the host Bees nipped Albion in a penalty kick shootout this evening in the championship game of the Byron-Bergen Tournament.

Angel Rosario scored on a penalty kick for Albion with 32 minutes in the second half as regulation play ended deadlocked at 1-1.

The teams then played two overtime periods and went through two rounds of penalty kicks before the Bees emerged with the victory.
