Rainy today with ‘dangerously high temperatures’ for the weekend
It’s going to be rainy today with showers and thunderstorms which could produce locally heavy rainfall this evening, the National Weather Service said. About a quarter to a half inch of rain is expected with a high near 77.
The weather will become hot and quite humid for much of the upcoming weekend with dangerously high apparent temperatures Saturday and Sunday, the Weather Service said.
“This will especially be the case across the lake plains and in the valleys where apparent temperatures will exceed 100 degrees,” according to the Weather Service. “Those planning outdoor festivities should plan on the likelihood for heat related issues and act accordingly.”
The highs for next few days include 80 on Thursday, 86 on Friday, 93 on Saturday and 96 on Sunday.
