Rain slows Hickory Ridge golf league action
Mother Nature has not been kind to the league golfers at area courses. A few leagues at Hickory Ridge have makeups needed to be done due to the rain. Fortunately there are some results to be reported.
The Hickory Ridge Golf Association two man best ball tournament scheduled for last week was rained out as well.
The latest results from the Tuesday Ladies Night Out league had Deb Wood with low gross of 45 with Vicki Brawn close behind with a 49. Melissa Cotter had low net with a 37. Birdies were hard to come by on the tough back nine. Faye McNeil and Ann Barton lead the standings with 59.5 points. Dona Haze and Karen Berlew are in second with 54 and Deb Wood and Jan Palmer hold down third with 50.5.
Ray Daniels and Tim Hendrickson lead the Wednesday Night Mens’ League with 65.5 points. The father/son duo of the Dennistons are in second with 60 points followed closely by Bill Connolly and Larry Powers with 59.5. Mark Bessell and Don Pfister are in fourth with 59 and Clark Brooks and Roger Rush hold down fifth with 52.5 points. Low Gross for the day was Bob Wyant with a 40, Wyant also had low net with a 34. Hendrickson, Rush and Dick Taylor all recorded birdies,
The Thursday Mens Traveling League shoes Josh Bennett with low gross of 38. Todd Arnold had low net with a 28. Dave Cotter recorded two birdies. The team of Barry and Froman continue to lead in the standings with 178 points. Cotter and Knaak are in second with 172. Burgess and Eaton and Soria and Spencer are tied for third with 168 points each.
