Photos by Tom Rivers: Mount Albion Cemetery is a great place to go for a walk right now with the fall foliage in its glory.

Trick-or-treaters won’t have to dodge snowflakes this evening, which has been the case on some recent Halloweens in Orleans County.

Today is forecast for a high of 59 with a 100 percent chance of rain, about a tenth to a quarter of an inch. The rain should stop before 5 p.m. So costumed children shouldn’t have to worry about getting soaked while going door to door later.

Thursday is forecast for a high of 48 with more rain, about a quarter to a half inch expected with a chance for heavy rain overnight on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.

Friday is forecast for a high of 52 with a 90 percent chance of more rain, from a half inch to ¾ of an inch.

The leaves have changed colors and most are still hanging on the trees at Mount Albion, a historic cemetery on Route 31.
