The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Orleans County and much of Western New York.

“A warm front will slowly move northeast through the Ohio Valley on Saturday, then across our area Saturday night while associated low pressure deepens as it moves northeast into the Upper Mississippi Valley,” the Weather Service said. “This system will bring copious amounts of precipitation to the region over the weekend. This is likely to push some area creeks and rivers close or into action stage, but unlikely to produce flooding at this point.”

Today is forecast to start cloudy and then be sunny with a high near 47.

Saturday there is a chance of showers, mainly between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., then rain likely after 3 p.m. It will be cloudy with a high near 50.

On Sunday, there will be showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 p.m., then showers likely to follow with a high near 64.
