Rain again wipes out high school sports slate

For the second day in a row rainy weather has wiped out the scheduled slate of area high school sports contests.

The rained out events include the three season opening Niagara-Orleans League track meets (Akron at Albion, Medina at Barker and Wilson at Roy-Hart), the Akron at Medina lacrosse game as well as the Oakfeld-Alabama at Lyndonville baseball and Lyndonville at Pembroke softball contests.

The Akron at Medina lacrosse game as been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Vets Park and will precede the 7 p.m. Wilson at Medina Jeff Evoy Memorial baseball game.

The Wilson at Roy-Hart track meet has been rescheduled for May 13 and the Medina at Barker meet for May 23.

The Lyndonville at Pembroke softball game is now slated for May 10.

In addition, the Albion at Wilson softball game, which was rained out Wednesday, has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday while the Wilson at Albion baseball game will be made up on April 24.
