Raiders score sweep over Seahorses

Improving to 3-1 the Barker boys scored a 94-76 win over host Medina (2-3) this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet.

The Raiders were sparked by a quartet of individual event double winners including Adam Wagner (200 Free, 500 Free), Andrew Jenks (200 Individual Medley, 100 Breaststoke), Collin Stevener (50 Free, 100 Butterfly) and Collin Webb (100 Free, 100 Backstroke).

The Barker girls squad completed the sweep by besting Medina 99-71 as Christiana Carestia doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Fee and Sara Gendrue in the IM and Breaststroke. The Lady Raiders also had Chloe Goodlander win the Butterfly and Natalie Bruning the Backstroke.

Hannah Heil was a double winner for Medina in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Barker is now 2-2 and Medina 1-4.

Albion splits with Akron

Albion earned a split against Akron winning the boys meet 104-65 and losing the girls competition 128-41.

Harrison Brown won the 200 Free, Sam Sanchez the 50 Free, Carlitos Sanchez the 100 Free and Thomas Furmanski the Backstroke for Albion which improves to 4-1.

The Akron girls likewise improved to 4-1 as Julia Diebel doubled in the IM and Backstroke and Madison Harris in the 200 Free and 500 Free.

Liz Furmanski won the 100 Free and Michaela Pantano the Butterfly for Albion.

Roy-Hart, Newfane split

Roy-Hart likewise split with visiting Newfane winning the boys meet 99-66 and losing the girls meet 92-78.

Nate Mikoll doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Free for the defending champion Roy-Hart boys while Drew Hamelink took the Butterfly and Breaststroke for Newfane.

Roy-Hart is now 4-0 and Newfane 1-4.

The defending champion Newfane girls stayed perfect at 5-0 as Lauren Gaughran doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Free and Meghan Mietlicki in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

The loss drops Roy-Hart to 2-2.
