Raider swimmers return good nucleus
BARKER – Looking to keep the momentum from an 8-2 Niagara-Orleans League campaign last year, the Barker boys swim team returns a good nucleus led by seniors Tim Flint, Alonzo St. Louis, Nolan Bouchane, John Stansbury and junior Casey Webb.
Stansbury placed third in the 100 butterfly and Webb third in the 50 freestyle for the Raiders whose main loss to graduation was Brian Alt, who won both the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke at the All-League meet.
The Barker girls squad, which went 5-5 in N-O action last year, is led by seniors Hayley Richbart, Brooke Targus and Leah Perkins. Richbart placed second in the 100 breaststroke at the All-League meet.
Barker has four non league meets against Genesee Region League foes, beginning Monday at Pembroke, before opening the N-O season at home against Medina on Dec. 10.
