Unable to build on an early lead Medina/Lyndonville dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to Caledonia-Mumford in a non league boys soccer game this morning at Lyndonville.

Medina/Lyndonville grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the first 10 minutes as Nate Sherman scored off an assist from AJ Seefeldt.

However, the Mustangs couldn’t find the net again just missing on a penalty kick and then a direct kick in the second half which would have broken the contest open.

Cal-Mum tied the game with 5 minutes to go in regulation time. The Raiders then claimed the win on a goal by Sebastian Kresge in the first minute of the second 10 minute overtime period.

Now at 5-2 overall, the Mustangs next visit Wilson at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Niagara-Orleans League game.
