R-H’s Fry earns All-WNY softball honors

Roy-Hart catcher Maddie Fry has been named to the first team of the All-Western New York small schools softball squad.

Fry, who will be a senior at Roy-Hart this fall, hit .700 with 7 doubles, 2 triples and 24 RBIs this past season as she helped lead the Lady Rams to the Niagara-Orleans League championship.

Akron catcher Abby Stone likewise earned first team honors. Stone, who will be playing for St. Bonaventure University, this coming school year, hit .529 with 2 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs and 26 RBIs.

Medina shortstop Alisha Scroger earned Honorable Mention. She hit .544 with 7 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs.
