R-H field hockey has large veteran group

A large group of 10 returnees, including six All-League honorees, anchors the lineup for the Roy-Hart field hockey team which went 7-5 in Niagara-Orlesns action and 10-7 overall last fall.

Those All-League honorees include first team selections senior defender Dillan Santella and junior forward Adella Dukes; second team honorees senior forward Brooke Zglinicki and midfielder Alayna Kowalski along with Honorable Mention selections junior midfielder Savannah Newton and junior Mackenzie Landers.

Dukes had 16 goals and 5 assists last fall.

Rounding out the veteran contingent are senior forward Violette Streckawald, senior goalie Casondria Sanney, junior defender Miley Reiter and freshman Bella Rhinehart.

The Lady Rams graduation losses included forward Ava Achtyl, midfielder Abigail Glyshaw and defenders Olivia Marsillo and Lily Beals.

Roy-Hart will open the N-O season at home against Kenmore this coming Wednesday (August 27) at 5 p.m.
