R-H/Barker/Medina wins tourney semi
Avenging a 4-1 loss just three days ago, the Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club hockey team defeated Orchard Park 3-0 this morning in the semi- finals of the Club Christmas Tournament.
The win propells RBM into the championship game Friday morning at 10:45 against ELPS (Eden-Lake Shore- Pioneer- Springville) at the Cheektowaga Town Rink.
Ryan Mettler (R-H) scored the game winner and Jason Kuchey (R-H) added two insurance goals. All of the scoring was done in the first two periods.
The defense of Kuchey, Colin Dodge (R-H), Jacob Harris (B) and Trevor Crawford (Akron) kept Orchard Park out of the scoring column and the outstanding goal tending of Andrew Warner (Tonawanda) insured that the lamp was never lit.
