R-H/Barker/Medina rallies for hockey win

The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team gained their sixth win of the season Saturday night with a 6-4 come-from-behind home ice victory over Olean.

After a very lackluster first period in which RBM  fell behind 1-0, Olean upped its lead to 2-0 in the first minute of the second period,

RBM finally got on the board with a score from Jason Kuchey (R-H) assisted by Dayton Ruppel (Akron).

Dominic Peracciny (R-H) then tied the game with the assist going to Nick Wood (Akron).

RBM took a 4-2 lead later in the period on goals by Kuckey and Wood with Trevor Crawford (Akron) earning the assist on the second tally.

However, Olean was not finished as they scored two more goals to tie the game at 4-4 going into the final period.

RBM finally regained the lead for good as with nearly six minutes left in the game Wood tallied the game- winner unassisted.

Kuchey then earned the hat-trick with an empty-net score.  He now has 12 goals on the season to lead the league.

RBM’s next game is Saturday at 7:40 p.m. at the Cornerstone Arena against Buffalo.
