R-H/Barker/Medina post 6-3 hockey win
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team traveled to Cheektowaga Friday evening and came away with a 6-3 victory over St. Mary’s of Lancaster to improve to 11-4 in the league.
In the opening period, Andrew Downey (R-H) got the locals on the board off a pass from Nick Wood (Akron). However, St. Mary’s was able to score twice before the end of the period to take the lead.
RBM responded with four goals in the second period. Matthew Miller (Akron), Colin Dodge (R-H), Wood and Jason Kuchey (R-H) all scored with assists going to Mitchell Johnson (Barker) and Kuchey.
In the final period, Johnson got RBM’s final tally on a pass from Dodge.
RBM is scheduled to travel to Olean for an 11:30 a.m. game Sunday morning. The weather may decide if that occurs.
