Playing their fifth game in seven days, the Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club hockey team got back onto the winning track by defeating St. Mary’s of Lancaster 5-1 Sunday evening to regain a share of the league lead with a record of 8-2.

Jason Kuchey (R-H) scored his first of four goals on the evening unassisted to give RBM a 1-0 lead.  It was the first of three shorthanded goals unassisted.

Kuchey repeated that feat in the second period, but St. Mary’s was able to score and get within one by the end of the second.

In the final period, Ryan Mettler (R-H) scored with an assist from Nick Wood (Akron).  Kuchey then scored again with assists from Matthew Miller (Akron) and Joel Harris (B).  Kuchey capped off his big game an empty- net goal.

Andrew Warner played an outstanding game in goal.

RBM’s next game is next Friday evening against ELPS at the Cattaraugas County arena at 7 p.m. They return home on Saturday with a game against Dunkirk/Fredonia at 7:40 p.m.
