R-H, Barker/Medina icers nipped in OT
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club hockey team dropped a narrow 5-4 overtime decision to Wilson/Newfane this weekend.
W/N took a one goal lead early, but RBM answered with an unassisted score by Trevor Lock. W/N came right back and led after one period 2-1.
The only goal of the middle period by by W/N so entering the third, RBM trailed 3-1.
In the final period, Joel Harris (B) scored to cut the deficit to 3-2, assisted by Lawson Wallworth (R-H).
Near the end of the period, W/N scored, but RBM came right back with a goals by Lucius Wagner (M) and Reed Garlock (RH) with Ryan Mettler (R-H) and Richard Keppler (M) getting assists to tie the contest at 4-4.
In the overtime W/N scored with 1:08 left in the game for the win.
RBM’s next game in Sunday in Lockport at 12:15 p.m. against West Seneca.
