Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina blanks St. Joe’s
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club ice hockey team defeated St. Joe’s of Buffalo 6-0 Sunday evening to improve to 10-4 on the season.
Defenseman Jacob Harris (Barker) opened the scoring with a goal on passes from Matthew Miller (Akron) and Joel Harris (Barker). The period ended 1-0.
In the second, Nick Wood (Akron) scored a short- handed goal with the assist going to Ryan Mettler (R-H).
Taking the 2-0 lead into the third, RBM erupted for four goals.
Dominic Peracciny (R-H), Mettler, Jason Kuchey and Wood all scored. Kuchey’s goal was his league- leading 21st of the season. Assists went to Peracciny, Kuchey (2), Wood, Jacob Harris and Trevor Crawford.
Andrew Warner achieved the shutout in goal.
RBM is off until Friday evening when they travel to Cheektowaga for a 9 p.m. game against St. Mary’s of Lancaster.
