R-H, Akron in B2 soccer semis Wednesday

The Niagara-Orleans League will be represented by a pair of teams in the Section VI Class B2 girls soccer semifinals on Wednesday at Sweet Home.

No. 1 seed Roy-Hart will face No. 5 Allegany-Limestone at 7:30 p.m. following the 5:30 contest between No. 7 Akron and No. 3 Fredonia.

Section VI quarterfinals Thursday
No. 4 seed Roy-Hart will host No. 5 Falconer in the Section VI Class C2 quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Thursday.

At that same time, No. 6 Albion will travel to No. 3 Olean in Class B2 and No. 9 Medina will visit No. 1 Eden in Class C1

The Section V playoffs will get underway at 6 p.m. Thursday with No. 6 Lyndonville facing No. 11 Hinsdale at Elba in Class D3. In Class D1, No. 10 Kendall will visit No. 7 Pembroke and No. 13 Holley will travel to No. 4 Alexander.

Field Hockey

The Section VI Class C field hockey semifinals will be on Thursday as No. 4 Roy-Hart faces No. 1 Akron at 5 p.m. at Alden and No. 2 Barker takes on No 6 Eden at 4 p.m. at Newfane.

Football
Silverbacks play Thursday

In a repeat matchup from last week’s regular season finale, Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville will visit Akron at 7 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals of the Section VI Class C Funke Bowl. Akron won last week’s game 29-2.

Section VI goes on-line for sectional tickets

Section VI will only be selling tickets to the sectional football playoff games on-line. The ticket prices for this weekend’s quarterfinal games is $7.
