Pursue grace and peace during this time of division

With all that seeks to divide and polarize our great country and community, I urge readers to look to Calvary’s cross and remember what the Son of God did to cut through all the controversies and make us one.
Until we turn to faith in Jesus Christ we’ll find plenty that divides. Jesus Christ is no respecter of persons or political parties. He alone died for the sins of every one and forgives those who ask.
I pray we each choose civil discourse while discussing our differences. Perhaps it starts with the grace and peace extended with outstretched hands and the humility modeled by God who became flesh to rescue us from — ourselves!
