Purple Eagles win with second half rally

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Ugene Harrison had a big night on both sides of the ball for Albion this evening in a 20-12 victory over Fredonia/Westfiedl/Brocton at Brocton.

Rallying from a 12-6 half-time deficit, Albion battled back to defeat Fredonia/Westfield/Brocton in a B-2 Division game at Brocton this evening.

Albion knotted the contest at 12-12 on a 26 yard touchdown run by Ugene Harrison in the third quarter.

The Purple Eagles then scored the game winner on an 8 yard TD pass from quarterback Bryce Pritchard to Nate Moore in the final period.  Harrison added the two-point conversion carry to make it 20-12.

Harrison also scored the Purple Eagles first touchdown on a 13 yard run in the opening quarter.

However, Fredonia/Westfield/Brocton rebounded to grab what proved to be a brief 12-6 lead at the half.

Harrison finished with a total of 174 yards rushing. He also led the Purple Eagles defense with 12 tackles.

Albion stays perfect at 3-0 in the division while Fredonia/Westfield/Brocton slips to 0-2, 1-2 overall.

Alexander 44, Holley 6
Jumping out to a 21-0 half-time advantage, Alexander went on to defeat visiting Holley 44-6 this evening in a Livingston County League Division 4 game.

Camron LaBarge scored Holley’s touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 7 yard run.
