Snapping a four game losing streak, Albion trimmed host Wilson 7-4 in a Niagara-Orleans League contest this afternoon.

Breaking away from a 4-4 deadlock, Albion scored the deciding three runs in the top of the sixth inning on a two-run double by Brendan LeBaron and a fielders choice play off the bat of Chris Sacco. A single by Caleb Fox and a bunt single by Javon Jones set up the opportunity.

Javon Jones, LeBaron, Tyler Gibson and winning pitcher Amari Jones each finished with a pair of hits.

On the mound, Amari Jones gave up 7 hits and struck out 13.

Wilson did get two runners aboard with just one out in the bottom of the seventh but Amari Jones registered two clutch strikeouts to get the Purple Eagles out of the jam and lock up the win.

Albion is now 2-4 and Wilson 2-5 in N-O action.
