Purple Eagles roll to win over Raiders
Scoring in six of the seven innings, Albion downed host Barker 16-2 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League baseball game.
Damion Lattimer banged out 3 hits for the Purple Eagles as Javon Jones, winning pitcher Tyler Gibson, Austin Aman and Bailey Blanchard each had 2.
Gibson allowed only 1 hit and struck out 12 in five innings of work on the mound.
Now at 2-5 in the league, Albion will next host Barker (0-10) in the second half of the home-and-home series on Tuesday.
