Anchored by a good group of six veterans, Albion is looking to improve upon last year’s 5-7 Niagara-Orleans League basketball record.

The Purple Eagles veteran group includes seniors Aquil Gaffney, Caleb Fox, Javon Jones, Amari Jones, Nick Harling and junior Dylan Narburgh.

Albion’s lineup also includes senior Nick Radder and juniors Blake Preston, John Eibl and Sh’kwe Riley.

“We have high expectations,” said Coach Travis Downs. “Our varsity experience will really help. The mix of talent we have is very good. The pieces fit well together.”

The Purple Eagles graduation losses included second team N-O All-League selection Jahmeek Riley, Ozzie Matos and Tyler Gibson.

Albion will begin prepping for the N-O campaign by visiting Palmyra-Macedon on Tuesday.
