Purple Eagles quartet no hits Raiders
Four pitchers combined on a no hitter as Albion downed visitng Barker 7-1 in a Niagara-Orleans League game this afternoon.
Starter Dallas Ecker, Amari Jones, Javon Jones and Jack Kinter teamed up to hurl the no hitter with a total of 11 strikeouts.
Albion took the lead for good by scoring two quick runs in the first inning on an RBI double by Amari Jones and an error.
The Purple Eagles later broke the contest open by tallying five times in the fifth inning on a single by Javon Jones, an RBI sacrifice bunt by Chris Sacco, and RBI single by Josh Bovenzi and 3 errors.
Aidan Voss scattered 6 hits and struck out 8 on the mound for Barker.
Albion is now 2-2 and Barker 0-4 in N-O action.
Albion next hosts Roy-Hart at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. The Rams game against Wilson today was rained out.

Maddie Robinson hurled a 3 hitter with 3 strikeouts to lead Attica to a 20-3 Genesee Region League softball win over Kendall this afternoon.
At the plate for Attica, Jacklyn Torrey had a two-run homer, Mo Bunk a triple and 4 RBI and Morgan Jackson 2 hits and 4 RBI.
Lauren Pilon, Emma Quintern and Lia Larson had singles for Kendall.

Holley posted a 258-283 win over Pembroke in a G-R golf match his afternoon.
Holley Senior Gavin Baney earned medalist honors shooting a 55.
