Purple Eagles face busy opening week
The Albion boys basketball team has a busy opening week on tap as the Purple Eagles will host Spencerport on Monday and Emerson on Thursday and then visit Lyndonville Friday.
Lyndonville will also host a girl-boy doubleheader on Tuesday against Rochester Academy Charter.
The Medina boys basketball team will open the season at home on Monday against Buffalo Science.
The Kendall girls basketball tournament will get underway on Wednesday with Barker vs. Lyndonvile at 6 p.m. and Holley vs. Kendall at 7:45 p.m. The consolation and championship games will be on Saturday.
The Niagara-Orleans League wrestling season will begin on Wednesday with Wilson at Albion, Akron at Medina and defending champion Newfane at Roy-Hart/Barker.
Wrestling competition will also feature the annual Holley-Kendall Team Tournament on Saturday at Holley.
