Eight returnees anchor the lineup for Albion as the Purple Eagles look to rebound from last year’s 2-10 Niagara-Orleans League basketball season.

That veteran group includes seniors Kyle Radder, Seth Krenning, Peyton Robinson, Isaiah Riley, Jayden Daniels and Luke Bell along with juniors Wesley Olles and Tyler Cody. Radder and Olles both earned N-O All-League Honorable Mention.

The Purple Eagles are also looking to senior Kwame Riley and juniors Nate Gibson and Josh Schoeberlein.

“We do have quite a bit of experience back. The big thing is for them to work together and play together as a team,” said Coach Travis Downs.

The Purple Eagles graduation losses included second team NO All-League honoree Blake Preston, John Eibl  and Xavier Byrd.

Albion will begin tuning up for the N-O season by hosting LeRoy at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Purple Eagles will also visit Palmyra-Macedon on Friday before beginning N-O competition at Akron on Dec. 10.
