Purple Eagles edge past Rams by one

Regaining the .500 mark in league action at 3-3, Albion nipped Roy-Hart 51-50 in a Niagara-Orleans boys basketball game this evening at Roy-Hart.

Isaiah Riley hit two threes and Tyler Cody one for Albion in the decisive fourth quarter as Wesley Olles and Kyle Radder also each had a key basket.

The tight contest was tied 31-31 at the half and 38-38 after three quarters.

Cody finished with 20 and Radder and Riley 11 apiece to lead the Purple Eagles.

Braden Ricker scored 19, Dan Aquilina 16 and Erique Powell 13 for Roy-Hart which slips to 1-4 in N-O action.

In the other N-O contest, Akron downed Newfane 51-35 to stay undefeated at 6-0.
