Purple Eagles earn B East All-Star honors
A total of 10 Albion players have earned spots on the annual B East Division All-Star football squad.
Senior running back Tommy Mattison, senior tight end Kory Reynolds, sophomore lineman Ben Restivo and junior linebacker Meach Gardner have been named to the first team.
Mattison, who was named the B East Offensive Player of the Year rushed for 1,086 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. He also had 31 tackles on defense.
Reynolds caught 22 passes for 270 yards and 1 touchdown. Defensively he made 74 tackles and had a team leading 7 sacks.
Gardner led the Purple Eagles in tackles with 100.
Restivo made 48 tackles and had 4 sacks.
Senior lineman Jared Hollinger, sophomore wide receiver Nate Moore and senior defensive back Lamar Chambers earned second team honors.
Moore caught 11 passes for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns and also made 34 tackles. Chambers had 9 receptions for 188 yards and 2 TDs.
The Purple Eagles also had sophomore quarterback Bryce Pritchard along with linemen Tony Rotoli, a senior, and Kirk Ellison, a sophomore, receive Honorable Mention.
Pritchard passed for 679 yards and 8 touchdowns.
