Purple Eagles down Lady Raiders

Jumping out to an 18-9 first period lead, Albion went on to defeat host Barker 47-35 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game this evening.

Improving to 7-4 in the league, Albion went on to hold leads of 28-15 at the half and 38-21 at the three-quarter mark.

Kendall Derisley scored 11, Paige Derisley 10, Ryan Olles 8 and Honesty Little 6 to lead the way or the Purple Eagles.

Dakota Leising scored 12, Sydnie Luckman 11 and Kylie Annable 8 for Barker which is now 3-7 in N-O action.

In the other N-O games, undefeated (10-0) Wilson clinched at least a tie for the title with a 46-13 win over runner-up rival Newfane (7-2) and Akron (4-6) edged Roy-Hart (4-6) 40-36.

Ava Owens scored 15 and Shelby Wolf 10 for Roy-Hart.
