Purple Eagle wrestlers best Mustangs

Albion downed visiting rival Medina 42-30 this morning in a Niagara and Orleans Counties wrestling league match.
Albion jumped out to a quick 24-0 lead on consecutive match opening pins by Ellwood Hafner in 1:28, Alex Hafner in 38 seconds Bryan Ortiz in 59 seconds and Dayne Aina in 3:51.
However, Medina battled back into a 24-24 tie after pins by Noah Skinner in 1:50, Robert Morehouse in 5:57, Rashawn Bloom in 21 seconds and a forfeit win.
Albion though regained the lead at 30-24 after a pin by Andrew Uderitz in 2:36.
The Purple Eagles then locked up the win by taking two of the final three bouts, all three of which were forfeits.
Medina’s Robert Morehouse rallied to score a pin over Adonis Guzman with only three seconds remaining.
