Purple Eagle booters bow; Mustangs win

Defending champion Newfane blanked visiting Albion 2-0 this afternoon to stay unbeaten at 5-0 in the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

Jeff Hamm scored what proved to be the game winner for Newfane off an assist from Max Weber.

Trevor Moreland added an insurance goal for the Panthers as Johnny Costanzo earned the assist.

Cam Stanton made 6 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Albion is now 2-3 in N-O action.

Medina/Lyndonville 3, Oracle 0
Improving to 6-2 overall Medina/Lyndonville blanked host Oracle 3-0 this afternoon in a non league game.

Kristian Snyder scored all three goals for the Mustangs in the first half. He tallied at the 3 and 25 minute marks unassisted and again at the 38 minute mark from Ethan Leonard.

The Mustangs next host Global Concepts in another non league game at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
