Presbyterian Road canal bridge set for daytime closure next 2 weeks

ALBION – The New York State Department of Transportation announced that daytime closures will begin this week to facilitate structural repairs on the bridge carrying Presbyterian Road over the Erie Canal in the town of Albion, Orleans County.
Beginning Wednesday, the DOT’s bridge maintenance forces will be performing repairs to the bridge for approximately two weeks. The bridge will be closed to all traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. throughout the duration of the repairs.
Motorists are urged to slow down and safely move over when approaching roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
