Powell is third in Triple Jump at regional
Albion High graduate and SUNY Brockport junior Chanyce Powell placed third in the Triple Jump at the All Atlantic Regional Indoor Track and Field championships being held this weekend at Nazareth College.
Powell, who captured the Triple Jump title at the SUNY Athletic Conference championships last weekend, had a leap of 11.78 meters to take third place.

Top seeded Elba captured the Section V Class D2 girls basketball championship Friday with a 48-40 win over Andover as Leah Bezon scored 17, Taylor Augello 15 and Brynn Walczak 9.
Pembroke, which is also a No. 1 seed, claimed the Section V Class C1 girls basketball title today with a 52-37 win over Letchworth.
In Section V Class D2 boys basketball competition No. 3 seed Prattsburg downed top seeded Elba 72-64 today at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester.
In the Section VI Class B2 title game, Allegany-Limestone downed Newfane 54-45 this afternoon at Buffalo State College. Sam Capen led the Panthers with 13.
