Albion High graduate Chanyce Powell was a double winner in the jumps for the host Golden Eagles at SUNY Brockport’s Multi and Individual Track and Field meet over the weekend.
Powell, who is a senior at Brockport, won the Long Jump with a leap of 5.38 meters and the Triple Jump with a season best effort of 11.2 meters.
The previous week she also took first place honors in the Triple Jump (11.07 meters) at the Roundtable Invitational at SUNY Geneseo.
Powell is now ranked 29th in the nation in the Triple Jump and 43rd in the Long Jump.
Pecoraro is second at Buffalo Invit.
Medina High graduate and Utica College grad student Chase Pecoraro placed second in the Javelin with a career best throw of 55.05 meters at the University of Buffalo’s Invitational over the weekend.
