Powell is All District academic honoree

Albion High graduate and SUNY Brockport sophomore Chanyce Powell has been named to the Academic All District team.
Powell, who has a 3.76 grade point average in Business Administration, competes in the Long Jump and Triple Jump for the Brockport indoor and outdoor track teams.
During the past academic year she placed second in the Triple Jump and 13th in the Long Jump at the SUNY Athletic Conference indoor championships. She went on to place 7th in the Long Jump at the NCAA national championships to earn All America honors.
This spring she placed 12th in the Long Jump at the SUNYAC outdoor championships.

Medina High junior Ian Wagner fired a 76 Monday in the final round of the state golf championships at Cornell.
Wagner finished the two day tournament in 38th place out of 99 participants with a total score of 163.
