Powell earns SUNYAC weekly honor

Albion High graduate and SUNY Brockport junior Chanyce Powell has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Track and Field competition’s Field Athlete of the week.
Powell had a big two victory effort at the Nazareth Invitational last weekend to earn the SUNYAC weekly honor.
She won the Long Jump with an effort of 5.47 meters and the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.67 meters.
Powell currently has the 11th best Triple Jump distance and the 27th best Long Jump on the national qualifying list.
SUNY Brockport will host the SUNYAC Indoor Track and Field championships this Friday and Saturday.
