Powell earns All American track honors

Albion High graduate and SUNY Brockport sophomore Chanyce Powell has earned All American honors after placing seventh in the Long Jump at the NCAA Division III national championship being held this weekend at Boston.
Powell had a personal best jump of 18-7.
It marks the second straight year that Powell has earned All American honors having placed fifth in the Long Jump last year.
Powell advanced to the nationals after placing second in the Triple Jump and 10th in the Long Jump at last weekend’s Atlantic Regional.
She also placed second in the Triple Jump at the recent SUNYAC championships.
She is majoring in Exercise Physiology.
