Looking to get back on the mound after missing a year due to illness, Holley High graduate Josh Porter is getting set for his senior year on the University of Northwestern Ohio baseball team, an NAIA Division 1 school.

A relief pitcher, he looks to get more time out of the bullpen to help his Racers team after sitting out the 2018 season due to Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. He had a 25 centimeter blood clot from his chest to his bicep of his pitching arm.

The staff at UNOH has changed him from an over the top pitcher to a sidearmer which will be something new to him this off season.

Interestingly, his pitching  coach is Sean Stanley a former Holley pitcher.

Before UNOH, Josh spent two years at Genesee Community College where in his sophomore year he ended up with the school record for most wins in a season.
