On April 7th, the Albion Police Department charged Steven Tortorice in Heritage Estates for obstructing governmental administration 2nd (M).

On April 10th, the Albion Police Department charged Brian Bates on North Main Street for aggravated criminal contempt (F) and resisting arrest (M).

On April 10th, the Albion Police Department charged Jimmie Neary on South Clinton Street for driving while intoxicated 1st offense (M) and open container of alcohol or cannabis inside a motor vehicle (T).

On April 11th, the Albion Police Department charged Johnnie Wynn Jr. on South Main Street for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd (M) and an equipment violation (T).

On April 15th, the Albion Police Department charged Raymond Austin on Platt Street for a bench warrant out of the Town of Albion Court.

On April 16th, the Albion Police Department charged Michael Stachewicz III on Platt Street for petit larceny (M).

On April 16th, the Albion Police Department charged Raylene Wright on North Platt Street for petit larceny (M).

On April 21st, the Albion Police Department charged Reality Gray on Route 31 in the Town of Albion for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 2nd (M) and operation of a motor vehicle without inspection (T).

On April 21st, the Albion Police Department charged Josue Quiros on Beechwood Blvd for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 2nd (M) and failure to signal turn (T).

On April 22nd, the Albion Police Department charged Joseph Fearby on North Platt St for petit larceny (M).

On March 23, the Medina Police Department charged Nickolas Hinkson of Middleport with 2 counts criminal contempt 2nd.

On March 25, the Medina Police Department charged Zachery Allen of Medina with obstructing governmental administration 2nd and disorderly conduct.

On March 29, the Medina Police Department charged Amanda Williams of Lockport with driving with ability impaired by drug, improper left turn on two-way roadway, failed to keep right, driving on shoulders/slopes and moved from lane unsafely.

On April 15, the Medina Police Department executed an arrest warrant for Wanda Fogarty of Swain. She was charged with 2 counts criminal possession stolen property 4th possession credit card; 2 counts grand larceny 4th credit card and grand larceny 4th property exceeds one thousand dollars.

On April 17, the Medina Police Department charged Tyesha Robinson of Medina with criminal mischief 4th and harassment 2nd physical contact.

BARRE – Four people are facing felony charges and two others have been arrested on misdemeanors after an investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in the Town of Barre.

The Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force on April 15 executed a search warrant at 13913 W. Lee Road. Police seized a quantity of crack cocaine packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia, numerous long guns and $1,270, the Task Force stated in a news release.

The following four people – Raymond Austin, Cassandra McGuire, Justin Colburn and Jeremy Hucknall – were each charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, intent to sell (Class B felony), one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree (Class C felony) and three counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree (Class A misdemeanors).

Austin, 40, and McGuire, 35, live at 13913 W. Lee Rd. Colburn, 38, lives on Caroline Street in Albion and Hucknall, 39, lives on Maple Ridge Road in Medina.

Austin and McGuire also were both charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (Class A misdemeanor). Austin also was arrested on a bench warrant from the Albion Town Court.

In addition, two others – Preston Stone III, 60, and Tina Stone, 57 – were arrested on one count of Criminal Nuisance in the second degree (Class A misdemeanor). They both live at 13913 W. Lee Rd.

Tina Stone was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree (Class A misdemeanor).

All six of the defendants were issued appearance tickets to the Town of Barre Justice Court on May 21 at 6 p.m.

Assisting in the investigation were Orleans County District Attorney Susan Howard, the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office (K-9, Drone Unit, Road Patrol and Investigations), Niagara County Drug Task Force and the New York State Department of Corrections Office of Special Investigations.

Further arrests and charges are pending in this investigation, the Task Force said.

ALBION – The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of multiple individuals following a series of investigations conducted in conjunction with the Department of Social Services into alleged public assistance fraud.

As a result of these investigations, several subjects were charged with offenses including Welfare Fraud, Petit Larceny, Grand Larceny, Criminal use of a public benefit card and Offering a False Instrument for Filing.

The following were charged: Anne Bennett, Lawrence Worsley, Bobbie Taylor, Caitlyn Dehond, Anthony Gross, Stella Gresham, Billie Doxey, Jason Walsh, Shunieka Williams and Edward Ladue III.

It is alleged that the individuals collectively received $35,468.69 in public assistance benefits to which they were not entitled.

All subjects were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Albion Court at a later date.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work closely with the Department of Social Services to investigate and prosecute fraud-related offenses.

MEDINA – The Medina Police Department announces the arrest of Javon J. Presley, 37, of Niagara Falls, in connection with a robbery that occurred on February 14, 2026, in the Village of Medina.

Following an investigation by Sgt. Reeves and Officer Meredith, Presley was identified as a suspect. On April 16, 2026, he turned himself in to the Medina Police Department pursuant to an arrest warrant.

Presley has been charged with:

  • Burglary in the Second Degree (New York State Penal Law §140.25[2])
  • Robbery in the Third Degree (New York State Penal Law §160.05)
  • Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree – Credit Card (New York State Penal Law §155.30[4])
  • Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation (New York State Penal Law §121.11)

Presley was processed and transported to the Orleans County Jail pending arraignment.

The Medina Police Department reminds the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
