Perez helps power NCCC to sweep

Medina High graduate Alba Perez had a huge game both from the field and on the boards to lead the Niagara County Community College women’s basketball team to an 80-69 victory over host Edison Community College this afternoon.

Perez, a sophomore, poured in a game high 21 points and also grabbed off a game high 25 rebounds to spark NCCC which improves to 6-1.

Perez also had a double-double effort with 13 points and 12 rebounds on Friday to help pace NCCC to an 83-64 victory over host Clark State Community College.

Taliyah Hopkins had 16 points and Alliyah Gillespie 14 for NCCC.
