Pembroke tops Holley in G-R opener

Jumping out to a 20-4 first quarter lead, Pembroke went on to defeat host Holley 63-32 this evening to open the Genesee Region League boys basketball season.

Kyle Ludwig scored a game high 20 points, including six threes, to set the pace for Pembroke which led 36-11 at the half.

Dylan Hillabush scored 13, Isiah Flow 10, Ryan Moseman 5 and Chris Balys 4 for Holley. Balys also had 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

Holley next faces Tonawanda in the opening round of the Roy-Hart Tournament at 5 p.m. Friday.

Newfane 87 Oracle 59
Kyle DeVoogel scored 21, Max Weber 16 and Albert Kramp 12 to lead Newfane to a 87-59 non league win over Oracle.

Zach Lajoie, David Krull and Nick Schultz each chipped in with 9 for the Panthers.
