Pembroke girls edge past Lyndonville

Coming from behind in the second half, Pembroke edged past visiting Lyndonville 44-43 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.

Lyndonville grabbed leads of 10-2 after one quarter and 19-9 at the half but Pembroke came battling back to take a 29-28 lead after three-quarters and then hold onto the slender one point lead at the finish.

Mackenna Johnson scored 18 for Pembroke while Aubrey Lewis tallied 13, Makenzie Muck 10 and Alecia Hinskon 8 for Lyndonville.

Oakfield-Alabama 36, Kendall 23
Leading by a narrow 24-21 margin with three minutes to go, undefeated (8-0) Oakfield-Alabama closed with a 12-2 run to down Kendall 36-23 in another G-R contest.

A jumper by Lizzie Rath had pulled Kendall to within three at 24-21.

Makayla Hilchey led Oakfield-Aalbama with 15.

Rath finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Kendall as Taylor ReQua had 4 points and 4 steal
