Pembroke girls down Albion; Akron tops R-H

Rebounding from a four point first quarter, Pembroke rallied to defeat visiting Albion 59-38 in a non league game this evening.

Getting baskets from five different players, Albion jumped out to a 10-4 first quarter lead.

However, Pembroke rallied with a big turnover aided 17-4 second period scoring edge to take the lead for good by a margin of 21-14 at the half.

The Lady Dragons went on to hold an 11 point, 35-24, lead at the three-quarter mark.

Olivia Breeden scored a game high 21 points to lead Pembroke as Karli Houseknecht added 11 and Sydney Johnson 9.

Sydney Mulka led Albion with 13 as Abby Scanlan had 6 and Skoi Sanders 5.

Albion next visits Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League game at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Akron 48, Roy-Hart 32.

In an N-O makeup game Akron downed visiting Roy-Hart 48-32.

Sloan Jonathan scored 16 and Sophia Jones 9 to lead Akron which improves to 4-2.

Kaitlin Mettler scored 12 and Claire Halstead 8 to pace Roy-Hart which is now 2-5.
