Pembroke downs Barker in 8 innings in opener; Ken East tops Albion

It was an extra innings season opener as Barker dropped a 13-9 decision to visiting Pembroke this morning in a non league baseball game.
Austin Humphrey, Owen Hootman, Kylan Ball and Aidan Balduf each had a pair of hits for Pembroke which scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to claim the win.
Barker had tied the game at 9-9 in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run double by Ireland Brady who had two hits on the day.
The Raiders had built up a 7-0 lead but the Dragons rallied with a big 8 run sixth inning uprising to take a 9-7 lead.
Aidan Voss pitched the first four innings for the Raiders striking out 7 and allowing 1 hit. He registered a clutch strikeout to get out of a bases loaded jam in the second inning.
Barker is scheduled to host CSAT at 11 Tuesday morning in another non league contest.
Kenmore East 6, Albion 1
Breaking away from a scoreless deadlock, Kenmore East plated three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and then added three more in the fifth to key a 6-1 non league win over visiting Albion this morning.
Amari Jones, Javon Jones, Jason Conn and Nathan Gibson had hits for Albion which next visits Niagara Falls on Wednesday for another non league game.
