Family golf is an important part of the Shelridge Country Club and that was highlighted by the annual Parent/Child Championship Tournament held this past weekend.

Dave and Ian Wagner took low gross honors while Mike and Aidan Paul had the best low net score for boys and Ron and Mel Green the top low net score for girls. Honors for the closest to the line on No. 8 went to Joe and Sophia Cardone.

The annual Shelrdige Women’s Golf Association Ladies Invitational took place last Friday with the foursome of Melinda Whiting, Justine DiCureia, Sharon Zacher and Bridget DiCureia taking low gross honors and the quartet of Tina Dennis, Brianne Wagner, Missy Newman and Tami Vekich earning low net honors.

Finishing second in the low gross competition was the foursome of Jeanne Whipple, Annette Mullane, Elsa Steo and Faith Basil while the quartet of Jackie Harmon, Gail Benedetti, Judy Decker and Mary Spoth had the second low net score.

The updated Player of the Year standings now has Frank and John Vekich tied for first place with Dave Bellucci second and Butch and David Stupnick tied for third.
